About Us
Geronimo’s, Nantucket’s pet supply and gift shop, opened in May, 1991, shortly after Jan Jaeger arrived on Nantucket with her husband Fred, their Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Geronimo, and two cats. Finding no sources for the pet products she had become accustomed to purchasing in my former home near Denver, Colorado, Jan decided to open a shop.
After 17 years, Geronimo’s has become a fixture of the Nantucket retail scene, a dependable resource for those beloved companion animals and a must-stop location for anyone visiting the island. By attending trade shows each year and keeping up with trade publications, we bring to Geronimo’s a comprehensive mix of both the practical standards as well as the latest trends in pet supplies and pet-themed gifts for people.
Geronimo’s is located at 119 Pleasant Street in the mid-Island area. Customers constantly comment on our distinctive variety of products and our attractive and enticing store atmosphere.
